PURPOSE:To improve cell performance while decreasing elusion of an electrode material of an air electrode by using copper oxide, to which silver is added, as the electrode material of the air electrode. CONSTITUTION:Copper oxide, to which silver is added, is used as an electrode material. An addition amount of silver is desirably 2-30% in an atomic ratio. For instance, powder of silver oxide Ag2O and copper oxide CuO is mixed so as to be 20:80 in the atomic ratio of silver and copper for being fired, for instance, 12hr at 900 deg.C in the air. This is crashed into powder having the grain diameter of a few microns for being molded in a sheet shape by using an organic binder. Next, said sheet is sintered at 900 deg.C to be made into an air electrode. Thereby, the catalytic performance together with a molten salt-proof property can be improved. |
