PURPOSE:To reduce overhead of processing of a control program, and to improve the processing efficiency by assigning a useable area of a main storage to an operation system, by a control program. CONSTITUTION:Each main storage 10 is divided into plural pages, and a page table 20 contains plural page table words 21-28. When starting the first operat ing system, a control program selects pages 11-12 being an area in the main storage, which are supplied to the first operating system from plural page table words 21-28 in the page table 20, generates a page from plural page table words 21-28 in the page table 20, generates a page table 30 containing plural continuous page table words 31-32 for designating its area, in the main storage 10, and feeds it to the first operation system. In the same way, when starting the second operating system, the control program selects pages 13-14, and generates a page table 40 in the main storage 10.
