The control and fixing mechanism for the cutting position of the band or knife consists of a band-wheel on spindle which allows raising of lever and counter-weight and release of tie-rod (7) together with wheel and the band or knife; the lever has an indicator plate for the position of counter-weight which slides along lever; guides prevent displacement of the band or knife.
