A spare-tooth system for earth-moving machines, such as excavators and loading shovels (power loaders), rotary- type cutting dredgers, etc., which comprises an adapter and a tooth tip coupled removably to the adapter. The adapter in accordance with the present invention is equipped with a male element in the form of a wedge which is inclined with respect to the working direction of the tool and the tooth tip is equipped with a female element adapted to said male element. The relative movements of the adapter and of the tooth tip, once they have been brought into mutual contact, are blocked by means of a blocking element inserted in a blocking seat partially made in the adapter and partially made in the tooth tip. Said male element of the adapter has at least two contact surfaces pointing in the principal direction of work of the tool and one contact surface which moves away from said direction.
