During major repair work on a steam generator in a water pressure reactor it is first necessary to decontaminate the steam generator and nearby parts of lines for incoming and outgoing pressurized water. With this invention, this is executed by filling a reactor basin (25) with water, after which the reactor tank's (1) lid is removed and a divider (cyclone) (9, 12, 13) is arranged in the reactor tank above the reactor fuel.
