<p>A bank of heat tolerant carbon or carbon alloy steel spring elements (6) are located about a processing vessel (4). The vessel travels a circular orbital path it is vibrated by a power drive. The drive comprises a pair of unbalanced drive shafts. - The shafts apply a controlled periodic force to the vessel via the spring elements and a frame. The spring elements are disposed about each end of the vessel, being held in an annular ring at each end in a precompressed condition..
