PURPOSE:To produce ecnomically a low-carbon hot rolled steel sheet having small in-plane anisotropy at an economization on energy by ending the hot rolling of a steel contg. a specific compsn. ratio each of C and Mn and consisting of the balance iron at the temp. below the Ar3 transformation point and adequate redeuction ratio. CONSTITUTION:The hot rolling of the steel contg. <=0.1% C, <=0.6% Mn, contg., if necessary, <=0.5% Si, <=0.5% Cr and 0.005-0.1% Al and contg. further 1 or 2 kinds of <=0.5% Ti and <=0.5% Nb is ended at the temp. below the Ar3 transformation point and the reduction ratio at which the ferrite determined by the temp. T: absolute temp., strain speed; function of epsilon Z=epsilonexp(33840/T) recrystallizes dynamically, more preferably at the reduction ratio at which the true strain corresponds to 0.04lnZ-0.95 or above. The low carbon hot rolled steel sheet having the small in plane anisotropy and good workability is thus obtd.
