PURPOSE:To improve the stability of body attitude and the maneuverability, in a controller for controlling the damping force of variable shock absorber with correspondence to the relative displacement between the upper and lower sections of spring, by controlling the damping force while considering the inner causes of the variation of body attitude. CONSTITUTION:In a controller having a variable shock absorber A between the upper and lower sections of spring for vehicle, means B for detecting the relative displacement between the upper and lower sections of spring and means C for detecting the variation of body attitude due to inner causes of vehicle are provided. While direction deciding means D for deciding whether said variation of relative displacement is in departing direction from the neutral position or suppressing direction is provided. Control means E will control the shock absorber A to high damping force when said variation is in departing direction under the condition where variation of body attitude will not occur while to high damping force when said variation is directing toward the neutral position under the condition where variation of body attitude will occur. |
