PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of power conversion by operating a pump and motor with a hydraulic engine which can generate couple corresponding to the input and the output in a torque ring only with static pressure of fluid introduced into inner and outer static pressure bearing mechanisms. CONSTITUTION:A pump side hydraulic engine PE permits a torque ring to generate couple corresponding to the input torque and the output torque by inner static pressure bearing mechanism 4, torque ring 5 and outer static pressure bearing mechanisms 13, 17. A motor side hydraulic engine ME is constituted similarly to the pump side hydraulic engine PE. Thus, energy loss in the respective hydraulic engines can be substantially reduced to improve the efficiency of power conversion. |
