PURPOSE:To simplify the arrangement of a crawling device to facilitate the assembly thereof, by fixing a creep casing to which a gear is journalled, to the opening section of a mission casing, and by fixing subcasing to which the other gear is journalled, to the opening section of the creep casing. CONSTITUTION:A creep casing 12 is disposed, upon installation of a crawling device, in an opening section (m) which is formed in one side surface of a mission casing M storing therein a main speed change gear. The crawling device comprises shafts 1, 4 between which the reduction of speed is effected. Further, if a crawling speed is required, a subcasing 15 is disposed in an opening section (n) formed in the creep casing 12, and a four shaft type speed reduction gear is disposed in the subcasing 15. Further, shafts 1, 2, 4 are journalled to bearing projection pieces projected from the creep casing 12. With this arrangement torque is transmitted from a gear 22 on the shaft 16 to the shaft 16 through a gear 5, the shaft 1, the gears 35, 6, a slider and the gears 7-10, 26 in order to obtain a crawling speed.
