PURPOSE:To improve the light collecting efficiency by cutting obliquely the light collecting section of a light guide and increasing the solid angle viewing a scattered point. CONSTITUTION:A scanned face 2 on an original platen 6 made of glass is scanned by a laser spot 3 and the scattered light 5 is condensed by the light guide 7. In this case, the solid angle viewing the scattered point is increased by cutting obliquely the light collecting end face 8 of the light guide.
