PURPOSE:To facilitate a fastening work of a rise and fall weir, by a method wherein a number of convex and concave shapes are provided in the nipping surface of at least a press metal out of a filling metal and a press metal. CONSTITUTION:Two edges parts 15 of a rubber weir body 14 are supperposed with each other on a filling metal 16 through which a filling bolt 20 is inserted and which is filled in a river bed concrete 10, and after a press metal 22 is supperposed therewith along the upper surface, a nut 24 is threadly joined with a bolt 20. This improves the fiction factor of the surface of the press metal 22 with the edge part 15 by means of a number of line grooves 23 formed in the under surface of the press metal 22, resulting in the possibility to reliably seal and fasten the rubber weir body 14 and to perform a fastening work by means of a low force.
