A holder (1) has a cavity (2), enclosed by a locking element (3) which acts as a mounting for the rest of the prosthesis which consists of a base element (4) and a row of balls (5,9,10). The base element has a wedge-shaped opening (6) through which passes a wire (7). One end of the wire passes through holes in the balls, and the other one passes through the locking element to the inside of the cavity. - The contact faces of the balls are flattened. The end of the wire in the cavity passes through a head element (12) to a retaining block. A spring (14) separates the head element from the locking element and exerts force on the wire (7).
