PURPOSE:To perform a rapid and easy assembling work, by a method wherein plural sets of planetrary gear units are concentrically aligned within a cylindrical casing, and the units are inserted in an assembled condition into the cylindrical casing for assembly. CONSTITUTION:4 sets of planetray units Q1-Q4 are disposed in a cylindrical casing 1'. The cylindrical casing 1' is constituted in a tapered manner, ring gears 7'-1-7'-4 are formed integrally with the cylindrical casing 1', and planet gears 9'-1-9'-4 have draft. Assembly of this constitution is such that the portion, except the ring gear, of the planetary unit at each step is temporarily assembled, and is inserted into the cylindrical casing 1' as shown by an arrow mark A'. In which case, since a chamfered slope is formed on the gear, the teeth are easily geared with each other, and rapid insertion takes place.
