Polymer alloy fiber having great strength and high elasticity is manufactured from single-phase liquid crystal (I) by spinning at 80 - 100≰C, solidifying, washing, undergoing thermal elongation at 200 - 300≰C, and thermal treating. (I) is prepared from the polymer mixture of 50 - 95 wt.% poly-paraphenylene terephthalamide polymer having intrinsic viscosity more than 5.0 and 50 - 5 wt.% aromatic- aliphatic copolymer(II) having intrinsic viscosity more than 2.0 by dissolving in 98 - 103 % concentrated sulfuric acid; where X = 4,6,8, or 10; and R = H or CH3. |
