PURPOSE:To provide the titled material which gives articles such as fishing rods, tennis rackets, golf clubs, etc. which have excellent flexibility and a high strength and are lightweight, by incorporating a specified alloy fiber in an org. material. CONSTITUTION:Said alloy fiber is one composed of an alloy having such proper ties that when it is deformed at a temp. at which it is used, stress-induced martensitic transformation takes place to cause deformation and when external force is removed, it is restored to the original phase and thermoelastic martensitic transformation exhibiting an ultraelastic behavior occurs. Pref. 2-70vol% alloy fiber is incorporated in the org. material. When 2-70vol% metal or ceramic whisker in addition to the alloy fiber is used, the strength can be further increased. |
