PURPOSE:To attain the quality of a reproduced picture at post recording and the sound quality afterward by minimizing a transient when a recording mode is shifted to a reproducing one, and vice versa, at post-recording, while the performance at recording and reproducing is secured. CONSTITUTION:Recording amplifiers 26a, 26b are connected through the 1st capacitor to one end at the stator coil side of rotary transformers 31a and 31b of two magnetic heads 32a and 32b which are of helical scan type VTRs and wound by a magnetic tape over 180 deg., and reproducing preamplifiers 33a and 33b are connected to the other end of the stator coil through the 2nd capacitor. Moreover the 1st switch circuits 29a and 29b, which are conducted to an earth at reproduction, are installed between one end of the stator coil side and the 1st capacitor, while the 2nd switch circuits 31a and 31b conducted to the earth at recording are installed between the other coil and the 2nd capacitor. A control circuit controls the circuits 29a, 29b, 31a and 31b corresponding to recording and reproducing actions.
