PURPOSE:To enable a used tool to be replaced with a prearranged tool for use under a condition holding correct work accuracy in a proportion of one time per one rotation of a driving motor, by interlocking three cam mechanisms in a synchronous manner. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical grooved cam 2 drives a tool exchange arm 1 in a longitudinal direction. While a disc cam 3, being coaxially secured with the cylindrical grooved cam 2, is for opening and closing an air valve 21 generating the tightening and loosening action for holding a tool to a tool champing pawl in a main spindle of a machine tool. A roller gear cam mechanism 6 for turn driving the tool exchange arm 1 is equipped with a suitable position stop mechanism 5 transmitting positioning action to the tool exchange arm 1 in a proportion of one time per one rotation of a cam driving shaft 4. Accordingly, while a cam shaft 9 and the cam driving shaft 4 perform one rotation, every action necessary for a tool exchange can be generated in the tool exchange arm 1 in a complete synchronous manner.
