PURPOSE:To attain sure adjustment and operation of the user by generating a display corresponding to the adjusting state at the adjustment of deflection state. CONSTITUTION:When keys HR, HL are depressed at the same time and a horizontal position data is written in a memory 73, a display data S1 is fed to a display circuit 18 from a microcomputer 60 for the display. Three primary color signals (red, green, blue) R1*, G1*, B1* being display signals are outputted from the display circuit 18 and fed respectively to adders 26R, 26G and 26B. Then the writing is displayed for a prescribed time, e.g., 3sec in overlapping with the picture image on a screen of a picture tube. Since the display of horizontal data write is given on the screen, the user can confirm the write of the horizontal position data, then sure operation is attained and use of convenience is improved.
