PURPOSE:To prepare fine powdery easily dispersible tin oxide by forming an almost monomolecularly adsorbed layer of a surface active agent on the surface of fine particles comprising fine particles of tin oxide, or fine particles of tin oxide together with at least one kind of oxide of among Sb, In, Cd, Ga, Bi. CONSTITUTION:Fine particles of tin oxide or a mixture of tin oxide with at least one kind of oxide of Sb, In, Cd, Ga, or Bi are prepd. Almost monomolecularly adsorbed layer of a surface active agent is formed on the surface of the fine particles. Or, colloidal particles are formed by hydrolyzing a soln. of tin salt alone, or a soln. contg. tin salt together with at least one among salt of Sb, In, Cd, Ga, or Bi. After aging and washing with water the colloidal particles are acidified. Then, the colloidal particles are admixed with a surface active agent to an extent that the colloidal particles are transferred to an oil added to the colloidal particles and dispersed therein, forming an almost monomolecularly adsorbed layer of the surface active agent, which is dried after recovering the oil layer by settling. |
