PURPOSE:To allow the actual injectoni timing of each engine to accord with each proper injection timing according to the specification of engine by setting the fuel injection timing correction value by multiplying the fuel injection timing calculated according to the operation state by a prescribed factor. CONSTITUTION:When a fuel injection valve 6 is opening/closing-controlled by an ECU5, the fundamental injection timing Ti is calculated according to each output of an absolute poressure sensor 8 and an engine revolution speed sensor 10. Then, the fundamental injection timing Ti is corrected according to the correction coefficient vlaue and the correction variable value set according to each output of a throttle-valve opening-degree sensor 4, cooling-water temperature sensor 9, etc., and a necessary fuel injection timing Tout is obtained. Then, the fuel injection time correction value is determined by multiplying the fuel injection timing Tout by a prescribed factor, and the prescribed fuel injection starting timing related to the prescribed crank angle position in the suction cycle is corrected by the correction value, and fuel injection is controlled to start on the basis of the corrected fuel injection timing.
