PURPOSE:To improve the dehydrating properties of a raw material and to dehydrate efficiently the material by installing an electromagnetic-wave generating device and a waveguide for transmitting the generated electromagnetic wave to a dehydrating space. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic-wave generating device 8 and a waveguide 9 for transmitting an electromagnetic wave generated by the device 8 to a dehydrating space 4 to irradiate the wave on a raw material in the space 4, are installed. And an irradiating window 10 made of glass, etc. is provided to a desired position on the outer circumference of an inner cylinder 2 to irradiate the wave the introduced to the intermediate inside of cylinder 2 to the material in the space 4 from the window 10, etc. Accordingly, the material is provided with induction heating by the irradiated wave to be reformed into its inside in the vicinity of the window 10 while being dehydrated by a mechanical squeezing action; then the water content of a cake to be discharged into a discharging cylinder, is remarkably lowered and the amount of raw material to be treated is also sharply improved, because the dehydrating properties of raw material is sharply improved.
