PURPOSE:To enable to mold a plastic lens which is superior in both surface accuracy and symmetrical properties in relation to an axis, by a method wherein the title mold is either cooled or heated by flowing a cooling medium or heating medium respectively into a hole bored on the central axis of a cavity of an insertion piece or on a concentric circle with the side of the cavity spirally or vertically or in a circumferential direction at equal intervals. CONSTITUTION:As for a cooling device cooling a stationary mold 37 and movable mold 38, a cooling hole 25 bored on the central axis 1a and a cooling hole 27, which is a concentric circle with the side 8 of a cavity and bored spirally, are arranged on an insertion piece 12 of the stationary mold, a cooling hole 26 bored on a central axis 1a of the cavity is arranged in an insertion piece 18 of the movable mold and a cooling hole 28 which is the concentric circle with the side 8 of the cavity and bored spirally is provided in a bushing 19 of the movable mold. As for a heating device, band heaters 29, 30, 31 which are concentric circles with the side 8 of the cavity and are concerned spirally in a heater are arranged respectively on the insertion piece 12 of the stationary mold, insertion piece 18 of the movable mold and bushing of the movable mold. |
