PURPOSE:To mass-produce products with a constant quality and high performance by collectively arranging the collapsing process for flattening the pipe end, the process for cutting the flattened pip end and the process for boring holes in the flattened pipe end in a device so that each work consists of one stage. CONSTITUTION:An upper die 11, shearing punch 20 and punches 261-263 are raised together with an upper holder 7 to separate them from a lower die 10. Then, a metal pipe Sp is passed through a V-shaped groove 37 of a pipe supporting member 38 and mounted on the pipe supporting table 29 and the pipe end is abutted on a plate 39 to decide the position of the pipe Sp. Next, the upper holder 7 descends and the upper die 11, which co-operates with the lower die 10 to about on the end of the pipe Sp to form flattened pipe end under the collapsing section C. The tip of the punch 36is thrusted at the same time to provide a water drain hole on the pipe Sp. The shearing punch 20 descends subsequently and works with the shearing die 19 to provide a semicircular notch at the flattened end of the pipe Sp. Thereafter, punches 261-263 are thrusted from guide holes 271-273 of the upper die 11 to provide through holes on the flattened end of the pipe.
