摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the welding joint having no welding defects and excellent strength and stiffness by measuring the angle corner part welding quantity of a butt end face and by controlling at least one of the energy quantity of laser beam, the energy distribution and the output of welding equipment. CONSTITUTION:A wedge shaped part is photographed by arranging a video camera 10 centering around the point slightly before than welding point on the visual field and the video signal is given to video analyzer 11. The analyzer 11 operates the respective melt quantity of two end faces which are before the prescribed distance than the welding point and the mean value is given to computing element 12. The computing element 12 further operates the plate width of the welding point and the melt quantity in the plate thickness direction and gives to beam shaped controller 7 and laser output controller 14 by operating the necessary melt width (plate thickness direction and plate width direction) by laser beam from the given plate thickness and plate thickness direction melt quantity. The beam shape and output of the laser beam LB are thus adjusted so as to completely cover the melting shortage of the plate thickness center part and the butt faces are uniformly melted.
