The composite profile consists of at least two profiled parts (40), preferably composed of aluminium, and of at least one profiled rail (10) composed of a synthetic material. Constructed on the outside of the foot (12) of the profiled rail (10) is a cavity (14) which is closed by a thin outer wall (16) which is formed together with the profiled rail. A roll-on tab (48), which is provided with transverse knurling, is constructed on the inside of the groove limb (46). When the groove limb (46) is rolling on against the foot (12) of the profiled rail (10), the tip of the roll-on tab penetrates the thin outer wall before it breaks into the material of the foot (12) itself. The wall region between two penetration points of the outer wall (16) remains in the recesses between two projections of the transverse knurling on the roll-on tab (48), so that a positive lock is achieved between the metal profile and the profiled rail. This results in an improvement in the shear strength between the composite profiled parts. <IMAGE>
