In this plastic plug (4) for fastening rails to a concrete sleeper (2), the upper region (6) is, measured to a depth of approximately three to four threads of the sleeper screw (5) from the concrete upper edge of the sleeper, widened approximately cylindrically to a clear internal diameter (7) which is slightly greater than the external diameter (8) of the sleeper screw (5). By means of the design of a non-bearing upper region of the plug sleeve, the force introduction from the screw into the concrete remains limited to the central region of the plug sleeve even when an excessive torque is applied. <IMAGE>
