<p>In the process for absorbing substances in any state from gas, vapour or solid media as well as mixtures containing such media, the surface of the absorbing material, particularly coal, is continuously activated by crushing, particularly by friction, and simultaneously or immediately after, the absorbing material is contacted with the medium or the mixture to be purified and solids are separated therefrom. According to the process for the treatment of residues laden with absorbents produced during the purification of gases, vapours, liquids, solids, as well as mixtures of the latter by means of absorption processes, the residue is subjected to a desorption and/or reduction and/or oxidation process. The device for implementing this last process comprises a reactor (1) which acts as an absorption chamber and which has a breaking down device for the absorbing material, a desorption chamber (10) and, provided between the latter and the reactor (1), a device (9) for separating the medium from the solid material.</p> |
