APPARATUS FOR MOUNTING CHIP TYPE CIRCUITS ON PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS

The appts. includes an endless chain turning around two wheels in a horizontal plane, with a chain guide preventing excessive movement. A number of equally spaced horizontal pallets are attached to the chain and project outwards. A series of supply chutes are aligned along each side of the chain to provide components for the pallets. Beneath one end of the chain is a disc lying in a vertical plane, with a number of radially positioned mounting heads. These are spaced at 45 degrees to each other and are intended to apply adhesive to the components. The rotation and control of the disc is synchronised with that of the endless chain which supplies the individual components.
