The conveying trolley (2) runs on rails (12), its drive motor (24) being supplied with propulsion current via conductor rails (16, 18). The conveying trolley (2) contains a vessel (6) which can be closed by means of a lid (4). In order to prevent unauthorised opening of the lip, a bolt (50) of a locking apparatus (48) is provided which is pre-stressed in the locking position. The bolt (50) can be unlatched by means of an electromagnetic unlatching apparatus (74). Very simple control of the unlatching apparatus (74) is obtained if an unlatching transmitter (86) is provided at each of the points of the conveying installation intended for unlatching and can be connected to the conveying trolley (2) in order to feed an unlatching current to the unlatching apparatus (74). <IMAGE>
