<p>A troughed-chain conveyor having a trough (3) consisting of a floor (16) and side-walls (17, 18) and a conveyor belt (15), equipped with pushers (29, 30), which can move in the trough. In order to enhance the transport efficiency of such a troughed-chain conveyor it is envisaged that the cross-section of the trough (3) is constantly widened toward the top, and for this purpose it can be given a trapezoidal shape. The pushers (29, 30) are at least partly adapted in respect of their outer contour to the floor (16) and side-walls (17, 18) of the trough (3). If an intermediate floor (4) is present, the inner contours of the pushers (29, 30) and cross-section of the intermediate floor (4) are adapted to one another.</p> |
