An electrical through-connection apparatus is proposed which is suitable for attachment to a mounting wall (13) which, on its inside or outside, has a first plug-connector part (21) which must be engaged with a second plug-connector part (28) of the through-connection apparatus (14). The housing (24) of the through-connection apparatus contains a chamber (26) which is open at the top and is formed by an intermediate wall (25). The intermediate wall (25) contains an opening (27) for holding the second plug-connector part (28). Depending on the type of fitment of the first plug-connector part (21) in the mounting wall (13), the second plug-connector part can either be attached in the recess (27) and can be plugged together with the housing onto the first plug-connector part, or can be threaded through the recess and plugged into the first plug-connector part. <IMAGE>
