The blower cells are formed by rotary spokes, a hub and a rim and closed in the axial direction by the stationary machine housing. The latter is pref. in two halves and has on one cell side are a backfill and a compressed air inlets, in line with an opposite opening leading to the blower discharge pipe. Slots are provided for exhaust air, the backfill discharge opening being kept under the blasting air pressure, offset in the peripheral direction from the inlet and located in front of the slots. The section of the housing opposite the backfill inlet (12) has a vice (33) on an arch, extending from the slots and including the backfilling inlet. The pressure jaws (34,35) act on the housing halves (4,5) in opposition to the divising forces generated by the over pressure. The jaws are adjustable in the axial direction.
