<p>Macrolide antibiotics of formula (II) and their salts are new. In (II), R1=Me, Et or isopropyl; R2=H or OR5; OR5=OH or substd. OH contg. up to 25C; R3=H, or R2and R3 are together oxo; OR4=OR5 with the proviso that when R2=OH, OR4=substd. OH other than methoxy. Specifically R1=isopropyl; R2=H, EtO, n-propoxy, acetoxy or propionyloxy; R3=H, or R2+R3 are together oxo; R4=H, acetyl or methoxycarbonyl.</p> |
