Flushing dump for flushing sewage basins, storm water basins, clarification basins or the like. It has a pivotally mounted container which is arranged between load-bearing members which bear the container and are to be arranged on a side wall or on the top of the basin concerned. In order to reduce the deflection of the container in operation for the purpose of axial elongation of said container, the free space inside the container is penetrated by a horizontal supporting rod which is held on the two end walls of the container and on which connecting members, firmly connected to the base of the container, are held.
