摘要 PURPOSE:To attain a minute shift of a graphic cursor with an inexpensive device by providing the signal cut-off parts to both shift amount detecting parts in the X and Y directions respectively. CONSTITUTION:A (y) direction detecting lock button 4x and an (x) direction detecting lock button 4y are provided at both sides of a mouse 1. When a cursor is shifted minutely in the (y) direction, the button 4y is actuated to cut off an (x) direction shift amount signal line 9x. Then the mouse 1 is shifted obliquely (DELTAL) in the direction (angle theta) close to an axis (x) and therefore the shift amount (y) of the cursor is proportional to DELTALsintheta. In other words, a minute cursor shift amount is obtained despite a large shift of the mouse 1 by reducing the angle theta. When the cursor is shifted minutely in the direction (x), the button 4x is operated. Then the cursor shift amount DELTAx is proportional to DELTALcostheta when the mouse 1 is shifted obliquely in the direction close to the axis (y). Thus a minute cursor shift is secured despite a large shift of the mouse 1.
