PURPOSE:To make no-shock straightening of the shape of a steel plate by controlling change of tension so as to bring current value close to a specified value of the difference of rotation speed of rolls with a tension giving mechanism to carried steel plate by the difference of rotation speed between sets of rolls, and then slanting the current value smoothly to specified speed difference. CONSTITUTION:In a mechanism that gives tension to a carried steel plate by difference of rotation speed between two sets of rolls and straightens the shape of the steel plate, giving of tension by difference of current value is changed and adjusted by difference of roll rotation feeding. In this case, difference of current value is controlled to make it 99% of specified difference of rotation speed. Then, the current value is slanted smoothly until it becomes specified speed difference. In this case, there is no influence of surging at the time of switching, and tension given to the steel plate changes smoothly, and no bad influence of tension control is given to the carried steel plate. Thus, the carried steel plate is straightened smoothly and satisfactorily. |
