PURPOSE:A hair tonic, containing a specific dimethylpolysiloxane derivative as an active constituent, and having excellent hair producing and growing effect without any skin irritancy. CONSTITUTION:A hair tonic, containing one or more compounds selected from compounds expressed by formulas I and II (R is H, lower alkyl, lower alkylpolypropyleneoxy; a, m and y are integers 1-100 and aXm is 10-1,000; n and x are integers 1-70) as an active constituent, and capable of exhibiting improved hair producing and growing action in application to the human skin or animal skin. Since the above-mentioned compounds have no side effect on the human body, there is no limitation on amounts in recipe. However, 1-30wt%, particularly 2-20wt% based on the total amount of the formulation is preferably incorporated from the viewpoint of cost, and feeling of use, etc. Components used in the conventional hair tonics can be incorporated therein so long as the action of the above-mentioned hair tonic is not deteriorated. |
