SUCKING HEAD HOLDING RECORDING MEDIUM AND ITS SEPARATOR

PURPOSE:To hold both a separator and a recording medium by inserting a cylindrical member containing the 2nd sucking part for recording medium to the inside of a cylindrical member having the 1st sucking part for separator. CONSTITUTION:The outer circumferential cylinder of a sucking head 10 serves as a sucking head part 10a which sucks a separator 4 and has an internal sucking opening 18a. While the inner cylinder of the head 10 is inserted into the head part 10a and serves as a head part 10b which sucks a floppy medium 3 and can move up and down to the outer cylinder. The part 10b has an internal sucking opening 10b. A collet 10c is set to the inside of a tip part F of the part 10b to fix the medium 3 to a spindle of a recording medium driver. The part 10b is shifted down owing to the function of a pin 10e of the part 10b and the spontaneous drop owing to the empty weight of its own as long as both the separator 4 and the medium 3 are sucked by the head 10. As a result, the separator 4 and the medium 3 are held with a fixed distance secured between them.
