PURPOSE:A stabilized aqueous suspensionlike biocidal composition, obtained by emulsifying a water-isoluble biocide which is a liquid at room temperature with polyvinyl alcohol dissolved in water and dispersing a biociode which is a paste or solid at room temperature in the resultant emulsion. CONSTITUTION:A stabilized aqueous suspensionlike biocidal composition obtained by emulsifying 5-35wt% water-isoluble biocide which is a liquid at room temperature, e.g. EDDP, i.e. o-ethyl diphenyl phosphorothiolate, with 0.1-10wt% polyvinyl alcohol or a derivative thereof dissolved in 10-85wt% water, adding 5-35wt% biocide which is a paste or solid at room temperature, e.g. phthalide, i.e, 4,5,6,7-tetrachlorophthalide, 0.1-10wt% dispersing agent, e.g. polyalkylene styrenated phenylphenol ether and 0.001-10wt% water-soluble thickener, e.g. carboxymethyl cellulose, to the resultant emulsion and agitating the mixture.
