PURPOSE:To attain ease of transmission control of a packet signal by using one octet or plural assigned for line exchange among multiplex signals of octet multiplex constitution as a frame synchronizing signal. CONSTITUTION:In applying multiplex to 20 signals corresponding to, e.g., voice PCM24 channels for high speed transmission, an 8-bit signal is constituted by 24-channel's share for 125musec of one frame of each channel. For example, the 1st four signals are used for line exchange and the remaining 16 signals are assigned to packet exchange among the 20 signals. The 1st 8-bit of each 1st and 2nd signals is used as a frame synchronizing bit among the four signals. The one-frame 125musec is constituted by 20octet X 24=480-octet on a high speed transmission line, the 1st 2-octet is assigned to the frame synchronizing bit, the next 2-octet is assigned to the line exchange and the remaining 16-octet is assigned for packet. Thus, the transmission control of the packet signal is simplified to improve the economy of equipment. |
