<p>A method and device for needle selection in a circular knitting machine, by which the jacks are inactivated by causing a plurality of slides (32) to approach the peripheral surface of the cylinder in order to come into contact with the jack selection butts and selectively retaining the approached position those slides which are to implement the inactivia- tion while allowing the other slides to withdraw, the inactivation being implemented starting approximately from the half revolution following that in which the approach has taken place, said selection action being effected by electromagnetic devices, (47) the action of which is programmed revolution by revolution of the circular machine.</p> |
