PURPOSE:The titled composition, containing one or more of specific N- pyridylcarbamate compounds and one or more of benzimidazole based germicides, thiophanate based germicides or cyclic imide based germicides as active constituents, and having high effect in a low concentration. CONSTITUTION:An agricultural and horticultural germicidal composition containing one or more of N-pyridylcarbamate compounds expressed by formula I [X and Y are methine or N; R1 is halogen, -WR3 (W is O or S; R3 is alkyl, alkenyl, etc.) or -NHCOOR4 (R4 is alkyl); R2 is alkyl, alkenyl, etc.; Z is H, alkyl, alkenyl, etc.; A is O or S; B is alkyl, alkenyl, phenyl, etc.] and one or more of benzimidazole based germicides, e.g. a compound expressed by formula II, thiophanate based germicides, e.g. a compound expressed by formula III or cyclic imide based germicides, e.g. a compound expressed by formula IV, in combination.
