PURPOSE:To reduce the deterioration of electromagnetic characteristics of a magnetic head by producing an input/output cable by forming a conductive electrode on a plastic film of 5-10mum thickness and connecting this cable to a winding coil of a magnetic head main body. CONSTITUTION:A plastic film 17 uses a polyimide or polyester film of 5-10mum thickness, and a conductive electrode 16 uses a copper or aluminum foil of 5-10mum thickness. Therefore the thickness of a cable 15 is considerably reduced and the lateral stress is absorbed when the cable 15 is adhered to a head car riage. Furthermore the stress is scattered due to the small rigidity of the cable 15 even though a gimbal has the vertical and horizontal displacements against the vibrations of a magnetic head main body or the sliding vibrations of a recording medium. this avoids the deterioration of the electromagnetic char acteristics of the magnetic head as well as the injuries of the recording medium.
