PURPOSE:To assure sure positioning and restraining of a core for a water jacket by providing a pair of side molds facing each other on a lower mold, disposing temporarily installing members of the core and engaging the core bedding frames on the opposed surfaces of both side molds and the core print of the core. CONSTITUTION:A pair of the 1st side mold 101 and 2nd side mold 102 which slide while facing each other are provided on the lower mold 11. A forming block 18 is constituted of the semi-circular 1st forming part 181 and the projecting 2nd forming part 182 and forms the cavity C2 together with the side molds 101, 102. The temporarily installing pins 25 for temporary installation of the sand core 59 are provided to an attaching plate 26 disposed in the lower part of the block 18. The core bedding frames 31 and the core prints 63 of the core 59 are made engageable with the molds 101, 102. The sand core 59 is correctly positioned to the molds 101, 102 via the core prints 63 and is correctly restrained via the frames 31 by the above-mentioned mechanism.
