PURPOSE:To set automatically the response procedure as soon as a cartridge is loaded by detecting an identification mark provided with a response cartridge and applying response procedure control based on the result of identification. CONSTITUTION:In loading an optional response cartridge among cartridges 61-64 to a loading section 5, an identification mark 7 of the response cartridges 61-64 is read by a mark detection section 13 and its signal is sent to a CPU21. Then the CPU21 discriminates whether marks 7a, 7b of the mark 7 are Oor X and gives a command based on the result of discrimination to each circuit so as to activate each circuit in the mode corresponding to the loaded cartridge.
