Transparent thermoplastic resin composition having light absorbance less than 0.12 at the wave length of 640 nm is prepared from (a) polymethyl methacrylate; (b) 1 - 99 wt.% copolymer of 95 - 50 wt.% alkenyl aromatic monomer(I) of formula CH2 = CG-Ar and vinylic acid monomer, e.g., acrylate, methacrylate, or their mixture; and (c) 20 - 70 wt.% lumped-type ABS resin comprising 14 28 parts of cyanoalkene of formula CH2 = CR-CN and 86 -72 parts of (I) and 5 - 18 wt.% rubber; where G = H or methyl; Ar = C6-10 aromatic radical; and R = H or C1-4 alkyl.
