Hydroxyphenylthio-substituted phosphites of the formula <IMAGE> prepared by the reaction of the appropriate phosphorus and phenol compounds, said phosphites being useful as stabilizers of organic polymers and lubricating oils to counteract the degradative effects of light, heat and air.
