摘要 <p>The present invention is, broadly, an optically enhanced photovoltaic device and a method for producing it. The device includes a transparent conductor metallurgically fixed to the active semiconductor layer which in turn is affixed a layer of reflective material, wherein the surface of at least one of the layers is textured with randomly spaced, densely packed microstructures of predetermined dimensions of the order of the wavelength of visible light in the photovoltaic material.</p>
