摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To prevent cohesive failure of an ink from occurring at the time of thermal transfer, maintain favorable uniformity of printed images and enhance transparency and gloss, by incorporating a specified raw material composition into a theat-fusible ink. CONSTITUTION:An ink raw material composition comprising a dispersed mixture of 10-30pts.wt. of a coloring agent consisting of a pigment and/or a dye and 85-65pts.wt. of an alpha-olefin/maleic anhydride/demethyl maleate copolymer composed of a 28-60C alpha-olefin, maleic anhydride and dimethyl maleate, represented by the structure formula, wherein R is 26-58C alkyl, and having a melting point of 65-75 deg.C and a viscosity at 100 deg.C of 150-250cP is incorporated into a heat-fusible ink in an amount of 30-50wt%. To uniformly disperse the coloring agent into fine particles, the coloring agent is dispersed in the copolymer to prepare the ink raw material composition, which is mixed and kneaded with a wax and small amounts of additives to prepare the heat-fusible ink.</p>
